Svanöfesten / Identity / 2006 /
Svanöfesten is a festival which has been arranged six years in a row on an island in Ångermanälven in the north of Sweden. The festival has about 400 visitors each year.
A website was launched a few weeks before the festival. The user could control its content by uploading texts, images, music and movies. Each uploaded object was then distributed randomly on the site that measured 70x100cm. Texts and music was represented by a heartshaped balloon which was the festivals logotype that year. The website was later printed as the front of a poster which was given to the visitors at the festival entrance. The back of the poster was the festivals programme, which became the website when the festival ended.
A signage system made of heartshaped helium balloons was also made. The whole alphabet was printed on more than 400 balloons. Every artist got their own letter and a short presentation of them. The system worked both as a signage system and as a mobile festival programme.
The Svanöfesten project is a collaboration with Einar Åkerlind
